Harlem is one of America’s most remarkable neighborhoods.  Today, you’ll be joined by our nationally-acclaimed NYC Historian, Justin Ferate, named “New York’s Most Engaging Guide,” for a historic tour of this incredibly vibrant community.

Today, you’re in for another treat as we dine at the highly acclaimed new restaurant by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson – Red Rooster.  Marcus also regularly appears as a judge on the very popular “Chopped” Food Network show. Named in honor of the legendary Harlem speakeasy and located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster serves comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood.

This afternoon, you’ll tour charming streets with handsome homes, including Alexander Hamilton’s Home and views of City College, the Gothic “castle on the hill”, which boasts eight Nobel Prize winners. See “Striver’s Row”, the Abyssinian Baptist Church, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Columbia University, Morningside Heights, Morris Jumel Mansion, Sylvan Terrace and Sugar Hill.  The tour includes the ongoing revitalization of this nationally historic neighborhood.

This will be a true cultural and culinary experience!
